Last night I battled chronic illness to venture into Ueno Park and drink underneath the evasive cherry blossoms with fabulous company. We probably should have given it a little forethought and considered the fact that the lights go out at 8:30pm and that the forecast was for rain but we had a lovely party and saw the blossoms for a good half hour before being rained on. Despite the setbacks we managed to get drunk, make friends with a homeless man and watch Big Steve (my boss) get wasted (as depicted below).
